Pub Signwriting – The George and Dragon

This was a fun one! Me and my trusty helper drove to do some pub signwriting in Kent. The picture of brave Sir George slaying an evil dragon was transferred to the wall of The George and Dragon pub using chalk and it took a few days to paint. The weather held out and we had a handy local shop for supplies, a helpful landlord that plied us with tea and a garage to stash the scaffold tower in. That reminds me that I should give a mention to the small army of locals that helped take down the tower on the final day.
Pub signwriting is usually an enjoyable experience, and I like thinking about the history of the pubs as they’re usually very old.
