Bournemouth Signwriting – Bowlers Hairdressing

Bowlers Hairdressing is a family business based in Boscombe and have been there since 1972. They prefer signwriting on their window, as opposed to the fascia, as it’s more visible to passers-by and adds a degree of privacy to customers inside as it’s positioned blocking the view into the hair cutting area. The window was smashed, destroying the existing signwriting that was done back in the 1980s. I drew the logo using one of their leaflets as reference and scaled it up on the computer. I added the stripes and some lettering underneath the logo, then used a large reversed printout to stick to the front of the glass. All the signwriting was done in reverse on the back of the glass.
