Baffi Southampton – Ghost sign and fascia signwriting

To make good use of this large brick wall I designed and painted an a distressed ghost sign. We used masonry paint thined with glaze, drew the design onto the wall and got busy with the paint. I see so many walls in the high streets that would suit this kind of sign, either distressed or freshly painted they can be a great source of advertisement, it’s essentially your own advertising billboard that becomes a landmark in the local area. This particular sign was painted inside on the main wall of the restaurant, creating a backdrop to the dining area.

The fascia sign was also painted and the opening times on the door were gilded with 23.5 carat gold leaf. Next stop- Baffi Poole, this will be the sixth Baffi opening, I shall name it ‘Sixtus’…..
